Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jackie Douthit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kwyenoah Granes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jackie Douthit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kwyenoah Granes! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Douthit fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Granes looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. A head kick by Granes misses and Douthit counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Douthit. Douthit throws a big right hand that misses. Douthit with a flurry of punches that miss. Douthit is fighting to break Granes's control of his arms but Granes is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Douthit trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Douthit trying to control the position from guard on top but Granes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Douthit has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Douthit working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
That's one minute gone in the round. Douthit with a flurry of punches that miss. Granes keeping full guard, as Douthit tries to pass. Granes has his hands on Douthit's head, controlling the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Douthit fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Douthit throws a body punch but Granes moves out of range. Douthit tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Granes was well out of range. Poor timing from Douthit. Granes throws an overhand right that lands on Douthit's shoulder, as Douthit tries to avoid the shot. Douthit changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Granes looks to land a combination but Douthit avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Granes throws a left and a right that both miss
and Douthit counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Granes wants to stand back up but Douthit manages to pass into side control.
Granes dodges the ground and pound from Douthit. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Granes tries to get back to half guard but can't. Granes avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Douthit. Douthit tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Douthit tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Douthit has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! I wouldn't like to be where Granes is right now. Granes prevents Douthit from improving position. The strikes coming from Douthit are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Douthit misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Douthit taking a break here but Granes is having none of it and regains half guard. Douthit is looking to advance position but Granes won't allow it. Douthit working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Granes's thigh. Granes counters though and makes it back to full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Granes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jackie Douthit dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Douthit wants to advance to full mount but Granes doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Granes has control of Douthit's left arm, preventing Douthit from doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Douthit thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Douthit is stalling here. Granes is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Douthit seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Granes has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Granes working away. Douthit tries to improve position but can't. Douthit manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Granes is not content to let Douthit control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Douthit landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Granes is refusing to be controlled, as Douthit sits in half guard. Granes regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Douthit. Douthit throwing strikes but missing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Douthit with a flurry of punches that miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Despite the aggression on Granes's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Douthit throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. A nice side step and Granes releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Douthit shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Granes as he jumps to the side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Douthit loads up on a big right hand but Granes slips the punch. A countering left hand to the body from Granes misses. Douthit closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Douthit not landing any meaningful shots this time. Douthit is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Granes can do to turn this around? Granes keeping control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Douthit is figuring out what he wants to do next. Granes is positioning himself well to prevent Douthit advancing to mount. Douthit throws a strike but Granes avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Kwyenoah Granes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jackie Douthit is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Granes is pulling down on Douthit's head to control his posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Douthit definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Douthit shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Granes napping and manages to drive through into side control! Douthit working the ground and pound but Granes is defending the strikes. Granes is looking to regain half guard here but Douthit keeps moving and retains side control. Douthit working the body and head with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Granes regains half guard, as Douthit was trying to land strikes. Granes is trying to maintain the position but Douthit is very close to passing his half guard. Douthit tries to pass to full mount but Granes defends it. Douthit trying to control from Granes's half guard. Granes has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Granes is adopting a defensive guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Douthit trying to control the position from guard on top but Granes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Douthit missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
And that's the end of the fight! Jackie Douthit showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Douthit, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
