Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rickson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Biles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes into the arena with Mouth for war blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Rickson Gracie has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rickson Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Biles! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Biles feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Biles defends it easily. Biles prevents Gracie from getting back to his feet. Biles drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Biles jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Biles drops back looking for a leg! Gracie is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gracie manages to kick Biles off! Biles jumps back into Gracie's guard. Biles is working Gracie over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Biles landing with the ground and pound. Biles stands up over Gracie, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Biles loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Biles won't allow Gracie to get back to his feet. Gracie pushes Biles off and scrambles back to his feet.
Gracie smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Danga de danga de dang - Gracie scores with a four punch combination! Gracie shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Biles eats them both and turns towards Gracie to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Biles throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gracie's waist but Gracie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Biles off to one side. Biles shoots in but no luck this time. Gracie stuffs the takedown. It looked like Gracie wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Rickson Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Biles. Biles avoids a punch combination nicely.
Biles tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Gracie throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Biles. Gracie looks to land a combination but Biles avoids it well. Biles tries to clinch but Gracie is having none of it. Biles has a takedown stuffed. Gracie displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Biles throws out the jab. Biles looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Gracie lands with a cross. Biles takes one to the chin there. Gracie tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Biles circles away quickly and effectively. Gracie throws a right hand that Biles ducks under and follows up with a left that Biles also avoids with ease. Gracie with a nice cross. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gracie throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Biles dives in and grabs Gracie's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes down on Biles's head and hops out. Gracie misses with a series of wild punches.
Biles fails with a takedown attempt. Gracie works over Biles's head and body with a nice combination. Biles avoids the body shot from Gracie.
Gracie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie slips a straight right by Biles. Gracie misses with a wild body shot. Biles is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gracie sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Biles shoots in and drives through. Gracie sprawls well. Biles shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gracie pinned against the cage. Gracie gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Biles with a poor takedown and Gracie counters with a three punch combo that has Biles backing up. Biles nods at Gracie to acknowledge the strikes. Gracie bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Gracie throws a good cross that connects.
Gracie throws a head kick that misses. Gracie misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Biles fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gracie avoids it really well and circles away. As Biles looks to move away, Gracie throws a big counter combo but Biles just gets out of the way. Gracie lands a really nice looking cross but Biles seems unphased.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Biles has a takedown stuffed. Gracie lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Biles shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Gracie counter with a right hand. Biles tries for a takedown but Gracie circles away easily and Gracie counters with a left and a right that stings Biles. Gracie looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Gracie lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Biles circles away quickly and effectively. No joy there for Gracie, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Biles closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gracie circles away. Gracie appears to be looking for a big counter. Biles shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gracie as he avoids it easily. It looks like Gracie has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Biles ducks right into an uppercut from Gracie. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gracie throws a series of punches but Biles avoids them all with ease. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rickson Gracie dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A left and a right from Gracie both land. Nice combination. Jab, jab by Gracie - just one landing. Biles keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gracie. Gracie throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Biles has his takedown stuffed letting Gracie counter with a right hand. Gracie with a jab. Rickson Gracie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Biles has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Biles there as he acknowledges the shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gracie scores with a hook. Gracie throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Gracie throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's one minute gone in the round. Biles tries for a takedown but Gracie sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Biles shoots in and drives through. Gracie sprawls well. Gracie catches Biles with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Biles gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gracie. Biles throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gracie's waist but Gracie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Biles off to one side. Gracie is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Biles can do to turn this around? Biles doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Gracie to counter with a crisp jab. Biles takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Biles shoots in looking for a takedown but Gracie manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Biles's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Gracie went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Biles takes one to the side of the head.
Biles takes a shot right to the bread basket. Gracie smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Gracie jabs Biles to the body, keeping him at a distance. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gracie throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gracie pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Biles back to the cage. Gracie follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Biles shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Biles fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Biles has a takedown stuffed. Biles is breathing heavily. Biles gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gracie. Biles is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Gracie. Biles shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gracie pinned against the cage. Gracie gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. And Gracie counters with a quick kick to the body but Biles blocks it. Biles shoots in looking for a takedown but Gracie manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Biles's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Gracie lands a jab-cross combination. Biles dives in and grabs Gracie's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes down on Biles's head and hops out. Gracie throwing a counter right hand but Biles manages to avoid it. Gracie swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Biles counters with a single leg into guard. Gracie didn't expect that. Gracie working for a triangle but Biles defends it easily.
Biles stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Gracie has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Biles manages to get his head free but now Gracie has transitioned to an armbar! Biles grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Gracie! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
