Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob The! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samuel Fredrico! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The throws a head kick that misses. Fredrico has managed to clinch.
Fredrico tries for a takedown. No joy.
Fredrico manages to break the clinch.
The lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
The misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The looking to pass the guard. The really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The won't allow Fredrico to get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fredrico trying to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round. The gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. The fight stays on the outside here - The looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Fredrico shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. The defends it nicely. Fredrico circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fredrico misses with a takedown attempt - The sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bob The has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Fredrico. Fredrico looks winded! Fredrico shoots in for a takedown but The shows good takedown defense. The drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The with a nice head shot there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The wants to control from the top but Fredrico keeps moving. Fredrico is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The advances to half guard. The is thwarting Fredrico's attempts to control the position. The wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fredrico keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from The. The is trying to control the action in half guard but Fredrico is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Fredrico should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. The prevents Fredrico from standing back up.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. The is keen to just control but Fredrico is a slippery customer.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. The scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Fredrico doesn't seem bothered though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The tries to clinch but Fredrico moves out of range. The wants to clinch. Fredrico stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fredrico wants it to stay on the feet. Fredrico has closed the distance and engaged The in a clinch.
We've been informed that Fredrico has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Fredrico drags the fight down to the ground.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The gets to his feet - Fredrico follows without any prompting. Fredrico shoots in looking for a takedown. The tries to sprawl out of it but Fredrico keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. The manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob The dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Fredrico slaps away a takedown attempt from The, before circling back to the center of the mat. No luck for The with that takedown attempt. Fredrico tries to close the distance and clinch but The swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The moves in looking to clinch but Fredrico pushes him off. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Fredrico.
Fredrico shoots in looking for a takedown but The manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fredrico's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Fredrico shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has The pinned against the cage. The gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. The is looking for a counter combo. Fredrico is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fredrico shoots in for a takedown but The shows good takedown defense. Bob The has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Fredrico.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fredrico misses with a takedown attempt and The counters with a nice uppercut. The feints and as Fredrico raises his hands in defense, The changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fredrico swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fredrico is working an open guard so The takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. The scores with a body shot.
The throws a series of punches but Fredrico avoids them all with ease. The throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fredrico's waist but Fredrico gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing The off to one side. The shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with The in particular looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The is pressing down on Fredrico's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fredrico is holding on for now. The wants to control but Fredrico is keeping him busy. The will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The is really struggling to control Fredrico but he's trying to hold on to the position. Fredrico keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The is thwarting Fredrico's attempts to control the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The trying to control the action but Fredrico is working from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Bob The is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Fredrico pushes The off and gets back to his feet. The misses with a takedown attempt - Fredrico sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Fredrico slaps away a takedown attempt from The, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The dives in for a single leg takedown but Fredrico sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. The lands a glancing blow to the side of Fredrico's head. The is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Fredrico has a takedown stuffed. The tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fredrico paws at him with a jab and circles away. Fredrico lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. A head kick by The misses and Fredrico counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fredrico tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fredrico, pushing him back against the cage. The crunches a lovely knee into Fredrico's ribcage. The's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob The dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
The misses with a takedown attempt and Fredrico counters into the clinch. Nicely done. The is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fredrico can do to turn this around? The is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. The has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fredrico is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. The misses with a punch to the body.
Fredrico misses with a short punch on the inside. Fredrico is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables The to keep the fight standing. Fredrico tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. The just stands there and leans against the cage. Fredrico takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The thows a huge punch but Fredrico dodges it nicely.
The is looking to take a break and control but Fredrico is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. The working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Fredrico tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. The wants to get back to his feet.

Fredrico tries to roll over but The keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Fredrico manages to get to full guard.

The throws a big elbow that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The looking to pass the guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Fredrico tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. The is in Fredrico's guard. Fredrico wants to get back to his feet but The passes into half guard.
The is trying to control the action in half guard but Fredrico is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Fredrico tries to roll over but The keeps him under control. Bob The overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The is looking to take a break and control but Fredrico is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Bob The showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for The, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Bob The! Bob The decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
