Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
31 - 18 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mr Charcoal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
28 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Maciej Zegan!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zegan throws a hook but Charcoal blocks it.
Zegan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Charcoal. That did some damage!
Zegan wants to clinch but Charcoal slips to the side
and Charcoal cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Zegan throws a big shot that misses.
Charcoal is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Zegan throws a lazy body kick
and Charcoal connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Zegan throws a hook but Charcoal avoids it easily.
Charcoal attempts a counter takedown but Zegan avoids it well and moves away.
Zegan throws a poor cross that misses
letting Charcoal counter with a right hand.
Zegan throws a solid leg kick but Charcoal takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Zegan.
Charcoal tries to counter with a takedown but Zegan is quick to defend against it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zegan connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Zegan attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Charcoal thinks about countering with a head kick.
Zegan throws a head kick that misses.
Charcoal tries to counter with a takedown but Zegan is quick to defend against it.
Charcoal circles away from the clinch attempt
and Charcoal counters with a thumping low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.

and Charcoal counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zegan won't be happy with that.
Charcoal creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Zegan sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The ground and pound from Charcoal seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Zegan can do anything to dispel that myth.
Zegan is trying to improve his position.
Charcoal misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Charcoal lands a decent elbow from side control.
The strikes coming from Charcoal are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Zegan is not content to let Charcoal control the position.
Check out the look on Charcoal's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zegan on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Zegan takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Zegan is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Charcoal tries to score with some ground and pound. Zegan controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Charcoal works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Zegan is still in real trouble! Can Charcoal finish him?
Charcoal fails to land a wild elbow strike.
A big shot lands for Charcoal! That's hurt Zegan! Will he recover? Charcoal fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mr Charcoal!
Mr Charcoal really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that ONI logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
