Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Esteban Luna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ernest Worrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ernest Worrell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Esteban Luna! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ernest Worrell! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Worrell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Luna's waist but Luna gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Worrell off to one side. Luna throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Worrell doesn't succeed with the takedown and Luna counters with a nice uppercut. Worrell shoots for a double leg takedown but Luna sprawls well. He's pushed Worrell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Esteban Luna has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ernest Worrell. Worrell misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Worrell takes one on the chin but seems OK.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Luna as Worrell shoots in. Worrell fails with the takedown and Luna counters with a straight right hand. Worrell throws a half hearted mid kick. Luna was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Worrell with a lazy takedown attempt and Luna counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Luna slaps away a takedown attempt from Worrell, before circling back to the center of the mat. Luna is looking to counter punch. Worrell tries for a takedown but Luna circles away easily and Luna counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Worrell scores with a body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Worrell fails with the takedown. Luna shoots in for a double leg but Worrell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Luna really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Worrell looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Luna throwing a counter right hand but Worrell manages to avoid it. Worrell tries for a takedown but Luna circles away easily and Luna counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Luna. Worrell is trying to drag Luna to the mat but Luna just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Luna drops down looking for an ankle pick but Worrell pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Luna tries to keep at a distance but Worrell has taken the fight into the clinch. Worrell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Worrell tries to land a front kick but Luna steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. An attempted straight right counter from Luna misses the target. Worrell connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Luna momentarily.
Worrell shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Luna counters with a stiff right hand. Luna is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. A clash of legs there as Worrell blocks the low kick. Worrell on the wrong end of a nice jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Luna tries to clinch but Worrell is having none of it. Worrell tries to counter by closing the distance. Worrell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Luna was covering up waiting for the punch and Worrell finishes the takedown easily into guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Luna manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Luna is trying to force a seperation but Worrell has the dominant position. Luna drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Worrell gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Luna is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Worrell breaks the clinch.
Worrell throws a sloppy head kick and Luna counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Worrell darts in and clinches Luna up against the cage. Luna is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Worrell is defending well. Luna wants to break free. Worrell manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Luna is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Worrell can do to turn this around? We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Worrell can do anything to dispel that myth. Worrell is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Luna engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Worrell working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Luna preventing the sweep. Luna works over Worrell with some ground and pound from guard. Luna not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Worrell throws a leg kick that is checked and Luna counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Worrell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Luna content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Worrell is looking for a sweep. Luna is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Luna passes into side control, despite Worrell's attempt to control the position.
Luna working away. Luna decides to take the fight back to the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Worrell throws a sloppy head kick and Luna counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Luna leaves Worrell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Luna throws a quick counter head kick but Worrell was just out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luna is looking to counter punch. Esteban Luna is winning the standup battle so far. Worrell with a body punch. A glancing blow. Worrell stuffs the takedown. Worrell fails with a takedown attempt. Luna tries to counter by clinching up but Worrell breaks away and moves out of range. Worrell doesn't succeed with the takedown and Luna counters with a straight right hand. Worrell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Worrell thows a left - swing and a miss! Ernest Worrell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Worrell keeps the fight on the outside. Worrell darts in and clinches Luna up against the cage. Worrell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Worrell closes the distance and clinches up with Luna, looking for a takedown. Worrell pushes Luna against the cage but Luna circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Worrell forces Luna back against the cage and clinches. Worrell is trying to pull guard but Luna turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Luna drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Worrell gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Luna appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Worrell shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Worrell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Luna blocks a head kick by Worrell.

And that's the end of the fight! Ernest Worrell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Worrell has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
