Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Phoenix Templar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Virgil Dreesen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Virgil Dreesen was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phoenix Templar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Virgil Dreesen! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dreesen slips under a jab. Templar scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Templar scoring well with a low kick there.
Templar lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Templar turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Dreesen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Templar. Dreesen tries to clinch there but Templar circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Templar. Dreesen does a little dance to reset his feet. Dreesen walks into a left hand. Templar throws a shot from downtown. Dreesen moves away and avoids it. Dreesen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Donk. Templar catches Dreesen right on the button with a cross. Dreesen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jab from Templar. Dreesen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Templar. Dreesen feints a counter leg kick. Templar tests Dreesen's chin there with a solid looking shot. Templar throws a body punch but Dreesen moves out of range. Templar pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Dreesen back to the cage. Templar follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. A swing and a miss from Templar. Templar looks to throw the jab but Dreesen is out of range. Templar swats away the attempt to clinch by Dreesen. Templar lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Dreesen stalks Templar and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Templar's face. Templar staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Phoenix Templar has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Templar connects with a looping right hand.
Phoenix Templar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dreesen slips a straight right by Templar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Templar tries a low kick but Dreesen avoids it. Templar misses with a body shot.
Dreesen lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Templar throws a series of punches but Dreesen moves out of range. Dreesen is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Dreesen tries to bum rush Templar with a series of wild strikes but Templar uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Templar lands with a nice body punch. Templar missing with a left hand there. Dreesen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. It looks like Virgil Dreesen has been cut. Templar dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Dreesen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Templar doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Dreesen. Templar pushes Dreesen back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Templar tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

With the fighters up against the cage, Templar throws an elbow but misses. Templar lands a damaging elbow. Dreesen working aggressively here.

Dreesen makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Templar pushes Dreesen back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Templar scores a nice knee to the body.

Templar looks to throw an elbow but misses. Dreesen creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Templar missing with knees to the body.
Templar blocks an uppercut.
Dreesen takes an elbow to the temple. Dreesen has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Templar after a bit of a struggle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phoenix Templar dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Dreesen tries to clinch there but Templar circles away.
Templar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dreesen can do to turn this around? Dreesen fails to land with a series of punches.
Templar misses with a left hand and Dreesen counters with a series of strikes. Templar will be more careful next time no doubt.
Templar is rocked! Dreesen clinches. Oh Templar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Dreesen takes an elbow to the temple. Templar throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Dreesens head. Templar seems to have got his legs back now. Templar lands a big knee to the head and Dreesen goes down! Templar pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phoenix Templar! Phoenix Templar tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
