Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Freddy White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ove Sundberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freddy White could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ove Sundberg's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 15 - 4, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ove Sundberg!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sundberg tries for a takedown but White circles away easily

and White counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
We've been informed that Sundberg has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
White lands a body shot in the clinch.
White cracks Sundberg with a nice body shot.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Sundberg takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
White swings away with an uppercut that misses.
The referee calls for Sundberg to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sundberg jumps guard and drags White to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Sundberg is pulling down on White's head. It's preventing any offense from White, at least for the moment.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White stands and steps away. Sundberg gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Freddy White is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sundberg fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
White wants to clinch.

Sundberg checks the leg kick nicely there.
Sundberg changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. White tries to avoid it but Sundberg manages to keep hold of a leg and drag White to the ground. White escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sundberg shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sundberg was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

White sneaks out the side door and pushes Sundberg away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Ove Sundberg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sundberg shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts White as he jumps to the side.

White has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Sundberg is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
White lands a left hand that snaps the head of Sundberg backwards.

Sundberg closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sundberg lands in his opponent's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

White tries to counter with a takedown but Sundberg is quick to defend against it.

White explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by White.
White stuffs the takedown attempt from Sundberg. Sundberg gets slowly back to his feet.

White cracks Sundberg with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sundberg shoots in looking for a takedown but White manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sundberg's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

White swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sundberg.

Sundberg tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Sundberg shoots in looking for a takedown. White tries to sprawl out of it but Sundberg keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. White manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
White changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

White throws a solid leg kick but Sundberg takes the impact on his shin and smiles at White.
White throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
White fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sundberg is out of range.

Sundberg will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sundberg is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

White takes the fight into the clinch.
Sundberg scores with a shoulder strike.
White lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Sundberg backwards.
White lands a nice knee to the body.
A body shot lands from White.
White using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Sundberg tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
White presses Sundberg against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

White is trying to escape back to his feet but Sundberg uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Sundberg wants to control but White is keeping him busy.
Sundberg is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down White's shoulder. That is not cool.
White bucks up and tries to throw Sundberg off but instead Sundberg has got his back!
White trying to get back to his feet but Sundberg is in full control for now.

Sundberg is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
White is trying to get back to his feet but Sundberg has full control of the position and if anything, White has just worked his way into a worse spot.
White is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sundberg can do to turn this around?
Will Sundberg go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Well, with Sundberg on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before White is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Sundberg keeps control of the position easily here as White tries to buck him off.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sundberg's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

White won't enjoy being in this position. Sundberg looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - White is tapping - it's over boys! Sundberg picks up the submission victory!
