The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorpe has his takedown stuffed
letting Sanchez counter with a right hand.

Thorpe shoots in for a takedown but Sanchez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Calero Sanchez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Thorpe.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
