Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reed Goodman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sam Davis has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Reed Goodman's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Reed Goodman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sam Davis! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goodman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Davis to score an easy takedown into full guard. Davis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Goodman is keeping the position for now. Goodman wants to sweep but no luck. Davis gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Davis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Goodman swivels and escapes. Goodman attempts a counter takedown but Davis avoids it well and moves away. Davis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Davis tries to clinch and Goodman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Davis's guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Davis manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goodman successfully pulls guard.
Davis wants to control from the top but Goodman keeps moving. Davis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Goodman is keeping the position for now. Davis lands a couple of decent looking shots. Goodman is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Goodman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Davis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goodman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Davis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Goodman's guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Davis connects with a nice short shot to Goodman's temple. Goodman really is a fat lump. Goodman has a hand on Davis's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Davis takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goodman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Davis jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Goodman is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Goodman and Davis has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Davis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Goodman keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis stands up and beckons Goodman to his feet. Davis scores with a one two! Goodman had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Reed Goodman has been cut. Davis fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Reed Goodman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Davis. Nice takedown defense from Goodman. No joy for Davis on that attempt. Davis looks winded! Davis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Goodman but Goodman pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Goodman blocks a head kick by Davis.
Goodman looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Goodman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Davis has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Goodman has passed into side control.
Davis tries to improve position but can't. Davis regains half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Sam Davis will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Reed Goodman's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Davis shoots for a double leg takedown but Goodman sprawls well. He's pushed Davis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Goodman drops down looking for a counter takedown but Davis sprawls and moves away. Goodman moves out of range as Davis throws a body kick.

Reed Goodman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Goodman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Goodman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davis is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Davis is stalling in the full guard. Goodman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Davis manages to get himself to full guard.

Davis is trying to work for a sweep but Goodman has mounted him! Goodman avoids the attempt from Davis to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Goodman stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Goodman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Goodman showed some decent athleticism there. Davis scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Goodman manages to mount him!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis tries to improve his position but Goodman has taken his back! Goodman has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Davis tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Goodman pushes Davis away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
