Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charles Bronson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sim Bhullar! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bronson works Bhullar's body with a nice hook. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bhullar has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. A jab from Bronson does it's job there. Bhullar takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Bronson lands with an overhand left. Bronson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Bronson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Bronson works the jab nicely. Bronson lands a jab-cross combination. Bronson cracks Bhullar with a good jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bronson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bhullar in his tracks. Bronson stalks Bhullar and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bhullar's face. Bhullar staggers backwards, shaken. Bhullar fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bhullar finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Bronson's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Bhullar falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charles Bronson! Charles Bronson really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that King of Fists logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
