Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Edo Bambuch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dimitri Kerchev!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kerchev gets tackled into the cage by Bambuch. Bambuch maintains the clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kerchev has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Kerchev is looking for a takedown.
Bambuch stops a takedown attempt from Kerchev.

Bambuch decides to pull guard.
Bambuch keeping moving, preventing Kerchev from controlling successfully.

Bambuch looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kerchev trying to control but Bambuch is working from the bottom.
Kerchev must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Bambuch has his hands on Kerchev's head, controlling the position.
Bambuch trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bambuch is pulling down on Kerchev's head to control his posture.

Bambuch looking for a sweep. Not yet Bambuch, not yet.
Bambuch throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kerchev doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Bambuch counters with a head kick that drops Kerchev to the mat! Kerchev scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!


Kerchev is rocked!
Edo Bambuch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dimitri Kerchev.
Kerchev looks winded!
Bambuch stuffs the takedown.
Kerchev is still on wobbly legs! Can Bambuch finish him?
Bambuch fails with a takedown attempt.
Kerchev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bambuch swivels and escapes.
Kerchev seems to have recovered his senses.
Kerchev drops his hands momentarily. Bambuch doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Kerchev staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Kerchev doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Edo Bambuch!
The defeated Dimitri Kerchev had this to say: 'My opponent is gay!'.
