PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mi Han Lo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Menendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Menendez has chosen White Devil Rise as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Han Lo ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Menendez scores with a head kick. Han Lo tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
A nice inside leg kick there by Menendez. That's going to slow Han Lo down.
Menendez throws an overhand right that lands on Han Lo's shoulder, as Han Lo tries to avoid the shot.
Han Lo appears to be looking for a big counter.
Han Lo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Vegas Campania in the buildup to the fight.

Menendez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Menendez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Han Lo has escaped the position, nice work there.
Menendez trying to control the position but Han Lo is working away.

Han Lo has one of Menendez's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Menendez wants to stand but Han Lo has his arm trapped.
Han Lo is looking for a sweep.
Menendez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Menendez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Han Lo has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Menendez but great work by Han Lo.

Han Lo wants to control but Menendez is keeping him busy.

You can see the frustration on Menendez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Menendez manages to work his way to half guard, despite Han Lo's best efforts.

Han Lo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Han Lo takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Menendez gets back to full guard.

Menendez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Han Lo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Han Lo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Han Lo is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Han Lo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Menendez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Han Lo is aware though and is defending well.
Han Lo lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Mi Han Lo dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Menendez darts in looking for a takedown but Han Lo gets double underhooks and turns Menendez into the cage.

Han Lo drops Menendez with a naaaaasty hook - Menendez is in real trouble here! Han Lo dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mi Han Lo!
After winning the bout, Mi Han Lo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
