Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lyle Fretwell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Unz Unz!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fretwell darts in and clinches Unz up against the cage.
Fretwell lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Fretwell is pressed up against the cage. Unz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fretwell down to the mat. Fretwell avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Fretwell swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Unz takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Fretwell dips to his left and cracks Unz with an uppercut!
It looks like Unz Unz has been cut.
Fretwell drops Unz with a huge uppercut! Unz drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Fretwell is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lyle Fretwell!
Lyle Fretwell was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
