Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cristoff Melkovick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kieran Mistry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Cristoff Melkovick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kieran Mistry! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Mistry misses. A left lands for Mistry. Mistry takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. No joy there for Mistry, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Melkovick throwing a counter right hand but Mistry manages to avoid it. Melkovick shoots in for a takedown but Mistry shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mistry throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mistry ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Melkovick moves away. Melkovick throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mistry on the side of the head. Mistry has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Melkovick closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Melkovick lands in his opponent's guard. Melkovick with a nice head shot there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mistry has his hands on Melkovick's head, controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Melkovick scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Melkovick keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mistry's head. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mistry can do anything to dispel that myth. Melkovick trying to control but Mistry is working from the bottom. Mistry has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Melkovick trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Melkovick working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Melkovick stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mistry swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mistry has momentary wrist control but Melkovick slips an elbow through the middle. Mistry wants to stand but Melkovick is controlling the position. Melkovick lands a couple of decent looking shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Melkovick trying to control but Mistry is working from the bottom. Melkovick stands and throws Mistry's legs to the side, diving into side control. Melkovick lands a decent elbow from side control. Mistry is trying to control Melkovick's posture but Melkovick avoids it. Mistry takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Melkovick working the ground and pound. Melkovick has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Melkovick cracks Mistry with a big right hand but Mistry just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Melkovick moves into full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Melkovick landing strikes from the mount. That's three minutes gone in the round. Melkovick raining down shots from the mount! Mistry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Melkovick. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Mistry tries to hold on but Melkovick pushes him away. Mistry is squirming around, avoiding Melkovick's attempts to control the action. Melkovick working away from the top, dropping strikes. Melkovick content just to control the position here. Melkovick lands a couple of good shots and Mistry has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Mistry trying to get back to his feet but Melkovick is in full control for now. Melkovick scores with strikes from the back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Melkovick cracks Mistry with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Mistry from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Melkovick is working the ground and pound. Can Mistry escape? Melkovick scores with punches and elbows. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Melkovick.
Mistry is rocked! Mistry looking very determined here, making life difficult for Melkovick.
Mistry is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Melkovick is looking to control Mistry but Mistry is wriggling around and keeping busy. Melkovick working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Mistry is doing well to defend. Melkovick seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Mistry is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Cristoff Melkovick! Our winner, Cristoff Melkovick, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
