Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oscar Peterson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ken Karchinski!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karchinski chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Peterson can pounce on him.
Karchinski throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Peterson misses with a kick to the body.
Oscar Peterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Peterson throws the kick towards the body but Karchinski avoids it.
Peterson slips a jab and a cross from Karchinski.
Peterson tries for a takedown but Karchinski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Karchinski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Peterson shoots in but no luck this time.
Peterson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Karchinski swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oscar Peterson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Peterson tries to clinch up.
Peterson attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Donk. Peterson catches Karchinski right on the button with a cross.
Karchinski blocks a leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Peterson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Karchinski circles away.
Karchinski swats away the attempt to clinch by Peterson.
Peterson tries to clinch but Karchinski is having none of it.
Peterson fails with a takedown attempt.
Karchinski digs a good hook to Peterson's body.
Peterson is breathing heavily.

Karchinski takes the fight into the clinch.
Karchinski softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Karchinski scores with a shot to the side of Peterson's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Karchinski tightens his grip and picks Peterson up, before dumping him to the ground. Peterson manages to land in guard.
Karchinski postures up.
Peterson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Karchinski wants to stand but Peterson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Karchinski sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Karchinski prevents Peterson from getting back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Karchinski sitting in guard here, content to control.
Peterson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Karchinski punishes Peterson's body with a nice straight punch.
Karchinski throws a left that rocks Peterson and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Karchinski dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Peterson regain composure!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Karchinski stands up and beckons Peterson to his feet.

Karchinski looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Peterson!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Karchinski tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
Karchinski wants to control the pace but Peterson is squirming around nicely.
Karchinski looking to control and managing it successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
I looks like Karchinski might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ken Karchinski dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Peterson darts in trying to clinch
and Karchinski counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Peterson misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Karchinski counters with a left right combination that sends Peterson crashing to the mat - Karchinski wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Peterson out for a TKO! Devastating finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ken Karchinski!
