Mitsurugi comes to the cage accompanied by The Rising Sun. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ethan Carter Williams!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams looks to land a combination but Mitsurugi avoids it well.
Williams throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ethan Carter Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Williams wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Mitsurugi scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Mitsurugi moves out of range of the strikes.
Williams steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mitsurugi.
Mitsurugi ducks under a wild hook from Williams.
Mitsurugi seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Williams throws a hook to the side of Mitsurugi's head but Mitsurugi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mitsurugi moves into range and connects with a jab.
Mitsurugi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Williams.
Mitsurugi looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Mitsurugi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Williams manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Mitsurugi dodges the punch combination from Williams.

A jab from Williams finds it's way through Mitsurugi's defenses.

Mitsurugi lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Williams avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Mitsurugi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Williams throws a poor cross that misses
and Mitsurugi counters with a nice kick to the body.
Williams tries to bum rush Mitsurugi with a series of wild strikes but Mitsurugi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Williams jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mitsurugi is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

Williams throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mitsurugi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

and Mitsurugi counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Williams takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Williams misses with an uppercut.
Mitsurugi looks to score with a jab to the body but Williams is just out of range.

Williams has Mitsurugi up against the cage in a clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Mitsurugi.

Mitsurugi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The crowd cheers as Mitsurugi lands an impressive looking overhand right. Williams doesn't seem phased though.
Mitsurugi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Williams's head backwards.
Mitsurugi keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Williams.
Williams misses with an uppercut
and Mitsurugi makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Williams throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mitsurugi.
Mitsurugi looks to land a left hand but Williams moved out of range nicely.
Williams misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mitsurugi.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Williams throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Mitsurugi's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Mitsurugi duly obliges.
Mitsurugi connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Williams misses with a body shot
letting Mitsurugi counter with a right hand.
Williams loads up on a big right hand but Mitsurugi slips the punch.
Mitsurugi feints and then cracks Williams's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Williams down.
Williams misses with a few strikes there.
Williams throws a combination that misses
and Mitsurugi counters with a nice uppercut.
Williams tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Mitsurugi counters with a crisp one two that drops Williams! Mitsurugi thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Williams to his feet! Williams is in big trouble!


Williams is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Shinsuke Mitsurugi will probably get the nod.
That's time! Mitsurugi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Mitsurugi connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Williams to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Mitsurugi!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Shinsuke Mitsurugi!
Shinsuke Mitsurugi bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
