And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Justin Biggs!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biggs throws a body punch but Steel moves out of range.
Biggs throws a nice looking combination but Steel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Steel moves away from the strike by Biggs.
Biggs throws out a leg kick but Steel moves out of range and Biggs only half commits.
Steel attempts a counter takedown but Biggs avoids it well and moves away.
Biggs lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Steel circles away quickly and effectively.
Biggs uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Steel.
Steel throws a jab when Biggs was well out of range.
Steel swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Biggs lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Justin Biggs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steel moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Biggs lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Biggs lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Steel circles away quickly and effectively.

and Steel counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Biggs!
Steel controls the position.

Steel wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Biggs, who protects the arm well.
Biggs is not content to let Steel control the position.
Biggs is letting Steel control him for a moment.
Biggs felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Steel is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Biggs has escaped the position, nice work there.

Steel passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Biggs!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Steel can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Biggs is looking to escape.
Steel is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Biggs is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Steel is cranking Biggs's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Biggs! He's tightened the choke and Biggs is tapping out!
