Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Pedro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matsuda Taro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pedro connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Pedro uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Taro.
Taro throws a head kick but Pedro moves out of range.
Taro on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Pedro misses with a wild body shot.
Pedro throws a lazy right hand but Taro sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Taro misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pedro.
Good leg kick by Pedro there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Pedro connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Taro doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
That kick from Pedro tenderised Taro's leg. Taro is trying to keep his angry face on.
Pedro fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Taro looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Gabriel Pedro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Taro ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pedro moves away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Taro moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Pedro lands with a good body shot.

The crowd cheers as Pedro lands an impressive looking overhand right. Taro doesn't seem phased though.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pedro misses with an uppercut
and Taro counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Taro missing with a left hand there. Pedro was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Taro looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Taro lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Pedro tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Taro was well out of range. Poor timing from Pedro.

Pedro paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Pedro displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Taro throws out the jab.
Pedro lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Taro has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Taro there as he acknowledges the shot.

Taro is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Pedro wants to clinch up but Taro keeps it at a distance.
Taro throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Pedro.
Pedro lands a big right hand that sends Taro crashing to the mat! Pedro stays standing though and waves Taro back to his feet!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Taro stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pedro.
Pedro drops Taro with a straight right hand, right on the button! Pedro follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
