Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gleb Zheglov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gleb Zheglov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Doe!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe misses the jab.
Gleb Zheglov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zheglov slips under a jab from Doe.
Doe swings for the body but Zheglov moves out of range.

Zheglov lands a nice shot that snaps Doe's head back.
Doe is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Doe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zheglov as he jumps to the side.
Zheglov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Doe manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Zheglov on his heels. He'll look to pass Zheglov's guard now, I'm sure.

Doe is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Doe engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Doe drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Zheglov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Doe has Zheglov in his guard.

Zheglov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Zheglov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Doe is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Zheglov defends well.
Zheglov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Doe can do anything to dispel that myth.

Doe has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Doe is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Zheglov sees it coming and defends easily.

Doe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Zheglov's head.

Doe wants to work for an arm triangle but Zheglov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Doe is looking for a kimura but Zheglov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Doe to get the leverage.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Doe lands a nice short elbow.

Doe is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Zheglov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Doe circles away quickly and effectively.
Doe throws a hook but Zheglov avoids it easily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gleb Zheglov.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Zheglov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
