The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ben Joshua connects with a body shot.

Ben Joshua tries to bum rush Francois with a series of wild strikes but Francois uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ben Joshua throws a right and a left that both miss.

Ben Joshua feints a jab promting Francois to slip. Ben Joshua then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Francois slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Ben Joshua looks to land a combination. Francois sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Francois has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Ben Joshua goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Francois drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Francois tries to clinch but Ben Joshua moves out of range.
Ben Joshua pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Francois back to the cage. Ben Joshua follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Ben Joshua batters Francois with a massive right followed by a huge left! Francois is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Ben Joshua lands a final crushing right hand to drop Francois to the mat with a gruesome thud! Ben Joshua is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
