Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cameron Sloan! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloan connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Lee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sloan scoring well with a low kick there.
Lee takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. We've been hearing reports that Lee has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Lee takes a jab right on the kisser.
Sloan looks to score with a jab to the body but Lee is just out of range. Sloan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lee throwing a counter right hand but Sloan manages to avoid it. Sloan throws a leg kick but Lee checks it. Sloan darts in and out, connecting with a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sloan's hands. Sloan thows a left - swing and a miss! An attempted straight right counter from Lee misses the target. Sloan lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nice straight punches there by Sloan. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sloan. Lee moves forwards but Sloan connects with a nice, crisp jab. Sloan with a body punch. A glancing blow. Sloan throws a lazy right hand but Lee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Lee is looking to counter the offense by Sloan and move into the clinch. Sloan has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Sloan tests Lee's chin there with a solid looking shot. Sloan throws a series of strikes that have Lee backpedaling.
It looks like Freddy Lee has been cut. Lee uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sloan. Sloan misses with a series of wild punches.
Sloan just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromLee. Sloan throws a nice looking combination but Lee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lee is looking to counter with head kicks. Sloan throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Lee is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Sloan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lee looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sloppy strikes from Sloan. Those never looked like landing. Lee lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Sloan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lee at a distance.
Sloan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sloan throws a series of punches but Lee moves out of range. Lee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lee takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lee throws a quick counter kick to the body but Sloan avoids it. A jab lands there for Sloan. Lee tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sloan swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Freddy Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sloan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sloan. Lee does a little dance to reset his feet. Lee checks the leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice inside leg kick there by Sloan. That's going to slow Lee down. Sloan misses with a jab to the body
and Lee counters with a nice body kick.

Lee shoots for a double leg takedown but Sloan sprawls well. He's pushed Lee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sloan throws a right and a left that Lee avoids nicely. Sloan throws a nice looking combination but Lee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lee is looking to counter punch. Sloan thows a left - swing and a miss! Sloan lands with a nice combination. Lee backs away looking to recover. Sloan pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. This has been an exciting period of action! Sloan throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Lee defending well as Sloan loads up on a big left hand. Lee looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Lee looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Cameron Sloan dominated that round. The cut man is working on Freddy Lee's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Sloan scores with a one two! Lee had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Sloan is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Sloan throws a series of punches but Lee moves out of range. Lee went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Cameron Sloan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sloan throws a leg kick which misses Lee's front leg but catches the back leg as Lee tries to avoid it. Sloan blocks a head kick by Lee.
Sloan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Sloan lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Lee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Sloan scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Lee manages to mount him!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sloan is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Sloan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lee controlling from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloan is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Lee has taken his back! Sloan defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Lee's arms. Sloan is trying to stand. He's onto all fours with Lee on his back. Lee looks like he's slipping off but he's actually tansitioning to a beautiful armbar! Sloan has to tap out to a very impressive submission!
