Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Stricker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Fertus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

20 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Fertus!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stricker tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Fertus is able to avoid easily.
Fertus bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
It looks like Steve Stricker has been cut.
Fertus lands a left and a right that send Stricker crashing to the mat, dazed. Fertus thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
A nice leg kick lands there from Stricker.
That kick from Stricker tenderised Fertus's leg. Fertus is trying to keep his angry face on.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fertus misses with a straight right.
Stricker went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Fertus swings away with a body shot that misses
and Stricker counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Good work by Fertus as he checks the leg kick.
Stricker avoids the body shot from Fertus.
Stricker throws out a powerful jab.
Fertus takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Stricker throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Stricker moves into range and connects with a jab.
Fertus takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Stricker lands a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Stricker has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Stricker with a hook.
Fertus checks a leg kick nicely.
Fertus avoids the head kick by Stricker.
Fertus is looking to clinch.
Stricker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Fertus's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Stricker tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Stricker can't find room to land a body shot as Fertus controls the action.

Fertus is looking to break free of the clinch but Stricker has double underhooks.
Fertus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fertus throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fertus avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Stricker scores with a jab.

Stricker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Fertus is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stricker avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Stricker bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Fertus's head backwards.
A nice inside leg kick there by Stricker. That's going to slow Fertus down.
Stricker lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Stricker tries to clinch up but Fertus circles away and keeps his distance.
Fertus connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Steve Stricker's cut is getting worse.
Stricker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fertus.
Stricker tries to clinch there but Fertus circles away.
Stricker with a jab.
Stricker connects with a single shot there.
Stricker feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Fertuss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Stricker thuds his shin into the meat of Fertus's side.

Oooh a lovely combination from Stricker sends Fertus down but not out. Stricker dives into side control looking to finish.
Fertus is rocked!
Stricker stands up.
Fertus is still on wobbly legs! Can Stricker finish him?
Stricker lands an overhand right.
Fertus misses with a hook.
Fertus seems to have recovered his senses.
A lazy left from Stricker finds it's target.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stricker drops Fertus with a huge uppercut! Fertus drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Stricker is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Stricker!
Steve Stricker bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
