Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zab Judah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Benny Jones! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Judah misses with a double jab.
Judah catches Jones with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Jones shoots for a takedown but Judah saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Jones. Judah is trying to get back to his feet. Judah on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Judah tries to get out of the position. Jones landing strikes. Judah bucks up and tries to throw Jones off but instead Jones has got his back! Jones looking for the choke but no joy. Judah trying to get back to his feet but Jones is in full control for now. A lull in the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Judah has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Jones lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Judah covers up after that shot from Jones.
Jones tries to keep control of the position but Judah is staying busy. Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jones working for the choke. Judah holding both Jones 's hands and preventing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Judah trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Judah is breathing heavily. Jones trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. I would not like to be Judah right now.
Jones looking for the RNC. Judah has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones struggling to keep hold of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Judah looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Jones looking to break Judah's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Judah remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Jones will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Jones connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Judah to escape the position.
Judah is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Jones just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Judah is trying to stand back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Benny Jones dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jones has closed the distance and engaged Judah in a clinch.
Jones has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Judah clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Judah looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Jones is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones has Judah flattened out and is raining down punches. Judah is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Jones is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Jones gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Jones gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Jones apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Jones ducks under a wild hook from Judah. Judah waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Jones. Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Judah which made him look bad. Judah cracks Jones with a good jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jones takes a jab right on the kisser.
Judah lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Judah misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Judah scores with a nice right hand.
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Judah circles away. Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Judah manages to avoid it. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Judah as he avoids it easily. Zab Judah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benny Jones. Judah fails to land with a series of punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Judah lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Judah tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Judah manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Judah lands a jab to the head.
A left lands for Judah. Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones blocks a jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Judah avoids the head kick by Jones.
Jones missing with a left hand there. Judah was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Judah misses with a hook. Jones ducked under it nicely. No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt. Judah thuds his right hand into Jones's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Judah bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jones's head. Zab Judah is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Judah throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jones sees it coming and avoids it easily. Judah is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Jones slips a jab from Judah. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Benny Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Jones slips a jab from Judah. Judah stuffs the takedown. Jones looks for a takedown but Judah sprawls well. Judah misses with a hook. Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Judah lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Judah is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Judah circles away and we're back to standing. Zab Judah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benny Jones. Judah throws a jab when Jones was well out of range. Judah scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Judah swinging wilding here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Judah cracks Jones with a good jab. Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Judah tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Judah to the ground. Judah escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Judah misses with a hook. Jones misses with a takedown attempt - Judah sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Judah is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Nice straight punches there by Judah. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Judah. Jones takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Judah scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Judah throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt. Judah's corner calls for a 1-2. Judah obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Judah paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Jones takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Judah throws an overhand right that lands on Jones's shoulder, as Jones tries to avoid the shot. Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Judah sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jones uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Judah. Judah jabs Jones right on the nose. Jones blinks but takes it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones works Judah's body with a nice hook. Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Judah pinned against the cage. Judah gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Judah throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease. Judah misses with a two punch combination.
Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Judah throws out the jab. Jones fails with a takedown attempt. Judah keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Judah!
A jab lands there for Judah. Jones shoots for a double leg takedown but Judah sprawls well. He's pushed Jones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Judah scores with a hook to the body. Jones takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Jones gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Judah will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
And that's the end of the fight! Zab Judah showed his dominance in that final round. I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
