The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shammerson shoots for a double leg takedown but Ramirez sprawls well. He's pushed Shammerson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Shammerson misses with a double jab
and Ramirez counters with a left to the body.

Hector Ramirez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Torvol Shammerson.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ramirez.

Ramirez feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Shammerson sprawling to the canvas! Shammerson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Ramirez finish him?!

Shammerson is rocked!
Ramirez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Ramirez drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Shammerson's head, knocking him out cold! Ramirez is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
