Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clayton Channings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny McCormick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clayton Channings! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kenny McCormick! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Channings misses with a right hand and McCormick counters with an outside leg kick.
McCormick avoids the body shot from Channings.
Channings wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. McCormick walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Channings tests McCormick's chin there with a solid looking shot. Channings looks to throw the jab but McCormick is out of range. McCormick connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. McCormick swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Channings. Donk. Channings catches McCormick right on the button with a cross. McCormick has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Channings finds it's way round the side to connect with McCormick's head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McCormick misses with a low kick. Channings changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McCormick looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ground and pound from Channings seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Channings fails to land a wild elbow strike.
McCormick is looking for a sweep. McCormick struggling a bit here. Channings throwing strikes but missing, from side control. McCormick is working to avoid the ground and pound but Channings connects with a decent elbow. Channings has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Channings creates some space and throws a big elbow, but McCormick sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. We've been hearing that Channings has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. McCormick holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. McCormick takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. McCormick tries to buck Channings off but Channings is having none of it. McCormick wants to control but Channings postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Channings is trying to ground and pound but McCormick uses the momentary lack of control by Channings to regain half guard. McCormick is trying to get back to full guard. McCormick blocking the ground and pound attempt from Channings. McCormick keeps control of the position for the meantime. McCormick keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Channings thows a huge punch but McCormick dodges it nicely.
Channings throws a strike but McCormick avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Channings with a flurry of punches that miss.

McCormick has momentary wrist control but Channings slips an elbow through the middle. Channings being controlled here momentarily. Channings throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Channings stopping the sweep attempt from McCormick. McCormick controlling the position. Channings with a flurry of punches that miss. McCormick pulls Channings in close to prevent any damage. Channings wants to control from the top but McCormick keeps moving. Channings missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. McCormick pulls Channings in close to prevent any damage. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Channings drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Channings jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. McCormick utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. McCormick is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Channings scores with a nice right hand.
Channings scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Clayton Channings seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McCormick throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Channings counters with a slapping leg kick. Channings checks a leg kick. McCormick feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Channingss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Clayton Channings dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Channings throws a low kick but it's checked well by McCormick. McCormick uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Channings has time to react. Channings misses with a kick to the body.
Clayton Channings is winning the standup battle so far. McCormick misses with a looping right. A chopping leg kick lands by McCormick. A slapping leg kick lands for McCormick.
Channings throws a leg kick and McCormick cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Channings throws a poor cross that misses
and McCormick counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Channings fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Channings lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCormick walks into a jab. McCormick checks a leg kick. McCormick throws a lazy right hand but Channings sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Channings half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Channings lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Channings fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Channings is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McCormick can do to turn this around? Channings closes the distance and clinches up with McCormick, looking for a takedown. Channings pushes McCormick against the cage but McCormick circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. McCormick throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. McCormick with a jab. Channings defending well as McCormick loads up on a big left hand. Kenny McCormick is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McCormick avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

McCormick throws a big shot that misses. Channings blocks a head kick by McCormick.
Channings stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Channings lands a jab to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A jab lands there for McCormick. McCormick lands with a straight right. Channings didn't see that one coming. McCormick scoring well with a low kick there.
Channings looks to land a combination but McCormick avoids it well. McCormick throws out a counter right but Channings avoids it with no problem. Channings connects with a right hand. McCormick shakes it off. McCormick throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Channings.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by McCormick.
McCormick throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Channings scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. McCormick keeping control of the position. Channings not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Channings thows a huge punch but McCormick dodges it nicely.

Let's hope that McCormick has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Channings wants to control from the top but McCormick keeps moving. Channings postures up in McCormick's guard and throws a big left but McCormick blocks it. Channings controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Kenny McCormick will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

McCormick won't allow Channings to sweep him here. McCormick stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Channings swivels though and keeps the full guard. Channings looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McCormick engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

McCormick doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McCormick manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Channings looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
McCormick seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. McCormick tries to free his leg and advance position but Channings is retaining full guard. Channings is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Channings. Channings takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Channings comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McCormick throws a head kick that misses. Channings displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McCormick throws out the jab. Channings changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Channings avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A swing and a miss from McCormick. No luck for Channings with that takedown attempt. McCormick only half commits to the counter leg kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clayton Channings. That's going to take a lot out of him. Channings keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McCormick. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McCormick just misses with a punch to the body.
Channings fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging McCormick to the ground. Channings is now in McCormick's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McCormick wants to get back to his feet but Channings is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Kenny McCormick. I think McCormick has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
