Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nikita Vavilov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denis Gotsov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gotsov has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Denis Gotsov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gotsov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vavilov.
Vavilov closes the distance and pushes Gotsov back into the cage.
Vavilov lands with a light punch inside.
Vavilov lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Gotsov has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Vavilov after a bit of a struggle.
Gotsov looks winded!
Vavilov presses Gotsov against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Vavilov lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gotsov backwards.
It looks like Denis Gotsov has been cut.

Vavilov lands with a left to the head.
Gotsov's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Vavilov lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vavilov makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Vavilov pushes Gotsov back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Vavilov throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Vavilov lands a body punch.
Vavilov dips a shoulder and cracks Gotsov with a mighty uppercut! Gotsov falls back against the cage and Vavilov unloads with a barrage of strikes! Gotsov is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Vavilov screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nikita Vavilov!
