Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Elf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Du Toit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roy Du Toit will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Steven Elf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roy Du Toit!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elf misses with a takedown attempt

and Du Toit counters by moving into the clinch.

Du Toit pulls guard effortlessly.
Elf loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Elf postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Du Toit is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Elf, into his guard.

Du Toit controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Du Toit has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Animal House. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Elf might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Du Toit tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Du Toit has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Du Toit is nestled in close to Elf, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Du Toit connects with a nice short shot to Elf's temple.

Elf sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

It looks like Du Toit might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd goes nuts as Du Toit knocks Elf out cold with a massive hammerfist! Du Toit Jumps to his feet and climbs on top of the ropes to celebrate with the crowd!
