Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fahad Al Qarni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakke Ruutu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al Qarni comes to the cage accompanied by Hells Bells. Ruutu is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 50 Cent - I'm Supposed to Die Tonight. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Al Qarni.
Ruutu looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Ruutu blocks a jab.
Al Qarni looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Al Qarni throws a sloppy head kick
and Ruutu counters with a straight right hand.
Al Qarni throws a nice inside leg kick.

Al Qarni takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ruutu throws a right hand that Al Qarni ducks under and follows up with a left that Al Qarni also avoids with ease.
Al Qarni appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Al Qarni throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Ruutu avoids the body shot from Al Qarni.
Ruutu takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

and Al Qarni counters with a stiff right hand.
Ruutu misses with a looping left.
It looked like Al Qarni was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ruutu.

and Ruutu counters with a crisp one two that drops Al Qarni! Ruutu thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Al Qarni to his feet! Al Qarni is in big trouble!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Al Qarni is working for a kimura but Ruutu is defending it quite comfortably.

Al Qarni looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Al Qarni is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ruutu defends it well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Al Qarni is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ruutu sees it coming and defends easily.
Al Qarni slips a nice elbow through Ruutu's hands, connecting with Ruutu's forehead.
Al Qarni is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Al Qarni is looking for a kimura but Ruutu is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Al Qarni to get the leverage.
Ruutu tries to roll over but Al Qarni keeps him under control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ruutu is trying to control but Al Qarni passes into side control!
Al Qarni tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Al Qarni has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Ruutu tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Al Qarni tries to advance to mount but Ruutu denies him.
Al Qarni wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ruutu keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Fahad Al Qarni will probably get the nod.
That's time! Al Qarni's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Ruutu avoids the head kick by Al Qarni.
Al Qarni gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Ruutu to counter with a crisp jab.
Al Qarni defending well as Ruutu loads up on a big left hand.
Fahad Al Qarni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Al Qarni, as that shot connected.

Ruutu misses with a series of wild punches.

Ruutu tries to clinch but Al Qarni is having none of it.

Al Qarni catches Ruutu with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Ruutu throws a poor cross that misses
and Al Qarni cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ruutu throws a looping overhand right but Al Qarni ducks down to avoid it.
Al Qarni misses with an uppercut.
Ruutu lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Al Qarni takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Al Qarni is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ruutu knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Ruutu manages to work his way to half guard, despite Al Qarni's best efforts.
Al Qarni prevents Ruutu from improving his position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
