Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diocuil McCormick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rampage. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quinton Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diocuil McCormick! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson sends McCormick crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Jackson is motioning to the referee to let McCormick up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Diocuil McCormick has been cut. McCormick fails with the takedown. Jackson gets caught flat footed, as McCormick shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McCormick throws a strike but Jackson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jackson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. McCormick manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jackson manages to get himself to full guard.
McCormick stops Jackson from standing up. Jackson manages to escape and get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson throws a hook to the side of McCormick's head but McCormick sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jackson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McCormick was well out of range. Poor timing from Jackson. McCormick darts in and out, connecting with a jab. McCormick tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jackson paws at him with a jab and circles away. McCormick avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Jackson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. McCormick throws a strike but Jackson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jackson wants to stand but McCormick is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McCormick wants to sweep here but Jackson controlling him for the moment. Jackson wanted to stand there but McCormick had control of the position. McCormick throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
McCormick tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jackson is looking to stand up but McCormick won't let him. Jackson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. McCormick is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCormick is looking to clinch but Jackson is avoiding it.
McCormick uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jackson.
Quinton Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McCormick scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jackson is trying to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McCormick is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jackson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. McCormick wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy. Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McCormick in side control, throwing shots but Jackson defends. McCormick prevents Jackson from escaping the position. McCormick throwing shots but missing, from side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jackson lands with a hook. McCormick tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Jackson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Jackson throws a hook but McCormick avoids it easily. McCormick misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Quinton Jackson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Diocuil McCormick's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Jackson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Jackson misses with a low kick.
A jab from Jackson misses. Jackson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Diocuil McCormick is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jackson takes a swing at McCormick's ribcage but misses. Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Jackson! McCormick is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!
