The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hossein ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Haigh moves away.
Haigh shoots for a takedown but Hossein saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A head kick misses from Haigh.
Haigh dodges the punch combination from Hossein.
Nice body kick there by Haigh.
Haigh shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hossein defends it nicely.
Haigh shoots in and drives through. Hossein sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Haigh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Haigh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hossein swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hossein. Haigh does a little dance to reset his feet.
A little feinted left hand from Haigh on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Hossein scores with a jab to the body.
Hossein throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hossein slaps away a takedown attempt from Haigh, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Haigh gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Haigh breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Haigh takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Haigh misses with a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Haigh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hossein.
Haigh misses with a few strikes there.
Hossein has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Haigh misses with a two punch combination.
As Haigh backs off Hossein throws a huge counter combo but Haigh manages to avoid it all.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Haigh scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Hossein gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Haigh is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hossein has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hossein!
Hossein must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Hossein wants to stand but Haigh has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Hossein tries to free his leg and advance position but Haigh is retaining full guard.
Haigh throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Haigh pushes a forearm under Hossein's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Hossein is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
