A fine choice. Down Out has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with James Adams's chin.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Adams!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Down Out!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Out moves out of range as Adams strikes.
Out tries to counter with a clinch but Adams shakes him off and moves away.
Adams takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
It looks like Down Out has been cut.
Adams throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Out counters with a takedown into side control.
Adams explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Out ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Out's coach down at CT + BJJ & Wrestling sparring gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Out's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Adams scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Adams tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Out counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Adams is controlling Out's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Adams is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at True North Fight Team that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Adams continues to stall.
Out throwing strikes from guard but Adams blocks nicely.
Out in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Adams utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Adams has control of Out's left arm, preventing Out from doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
More hug and hope from Adams.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Adams moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Adams tries to throw a body punch but Out avoids it by throwing Adams back against the cage.
Out wants to take the fight to the mat but Adams manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Out drops down looking for an ankle pick but Adams pulls his leg out and moves away.
Out takes a shot right to the bread basket.
A jab from Adams does it's job there.
Adams bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Out looks for a takedown but Adams sprawls well.
James Adams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Down Out.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Adams paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Out takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Adams looks to land a left hand but Out moved out of range nicely.
Out gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Adams throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Out closes this distance looking for a takedown but Adams circles away.
Adams scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Adams tests Out's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Adams lands a head shot.
Out is rocked!
Out takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Out looks winded!
Adams punishes Out's body with a nice straight punch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Adams cracks Out with a hook to the temple - Out is on wobbly legs here! Adams swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Out falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Adams wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). James Adams!
