Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Davey Van Der Spek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micheal Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Davey Van Der Spek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Micheal Lee! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Lee. No joy for Van Der Spek on that attempt. Lee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Van Der Spek throws a right and a left that Lee avoids nicely. Van Der Spek throws a head kick but Lee moves out of range.
Lee doesn't manage to clinch there - Van Der Spek circles away.

Lee closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Van Der Spek is trying to get back to full guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lee lands a nice short elbow. Van Der Spek is trying to stand.
Lee content to control rather than advance. Lee looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lee prevents Van Der Spek from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Der Spek is defending against the submission attempts here by Lee.
Van Der Spek tries to get to full guard but Lee has control of the leg. Van Der Spek might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lee keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Lee wants to free his trapped foot but Van Der Spek is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. An inside leg kick lands from Lee. Van Der Spek keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lee waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Van Der Spek.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Van Der Spek scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Lee gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Lee keeping control of the position. Van Der Spek looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Lee is trying to get back to full guard. Lee controlling the position for now. Lee wants to get back to his feet.
Lee looks gassed! Lee keeping hold of Van Der Spek's head, controlling as best he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Van Der Spek is tying to control. Lee wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Van Der Spek.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lee looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Excellent takedown into side control there by Van Der Spek. Van Der Spek working away. A control attempt from Lee but he's now mounted! Lee is in a horrible position here. Van Der Spek smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Lee wants to get back to his feet. Lee preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Lee wants to improve his position but Van Der Spek is controlling well.
Van Der Spek thows a huge punch but Lee dodges it nicely.

Lee is doing well to control the position and prevent Van Der Spek from advancing to side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Micheal Lee will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Lee moves into range and clinches up with Van Der Spek. Lee wants to get back to striking at distance but Van Der Spek won't allow it.
Van Der Spek tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lee smiles and moves away.
Van Der Spek scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Lee manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Lee keeping control of the position. Lee gets full guard. Lee managing to control the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Van Der Spek avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee is pulling down on Van Der Spek's head. It's preventing any offense from Van Der Spek, at least for the moment. Van Der Spek drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lee looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lee looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lee! Lee is working to tighten is grip on Van Der Spek's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Van Der Spek has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Lee is really squeezing tight and eventually Van Der Spek passes out! Lee breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
