Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cheslin Kolbe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Luis Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Luis Garcia told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cheslin Kolbe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jose Luis Garcia! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Francis DeMontford and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garcia shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Garcia is looking to advance position but Kolbe won't allow it. Garcia is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Garcia is trying to control. Kolbe wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kolbe tries to roll over but Garcia keeps him under control. Kolbe is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Garcia pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garcia seems to be working for a kimura but Kolbe defends the submission attempt. Garcia wants to free his trapped foot but Kolbe is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Garcia is trying to control. Kolbe wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kolbe is trying to stand up here but Garcia is controlling him well. Kolbe has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Garcia is on him like a limpet, forcing Kolbe back against the cage. Garcia wants the takedown. Kolbe is fighting it off but Garcia persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kolbe's guard against the cage. Garcia sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kolbe's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kolbe looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Garcia trying to mount his opponent but Kolbe defends it. Garcia wants to take a breather but Kolbe is having none of it. Garcia is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kolbe trying to get back to full guard but Garcia takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Kolbe is squirming around, avoiding Garcia's attempts to control the action. Garcia controlling the pace for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia breaks from Kolbe's wrist control and lands an elbow. Garcia is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kolbe is surviving well by controlling Garcia's body position as best he can. Kolbe really wants to buck Garcia off and get back to his feet. Garcia with shots to the head and body - Kolbe looks very uncomfortable down there. Garcia goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kolbe turns into him and now he's in Garcia's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kolbe avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kolbe trying to control the position from guard on top but Garcia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kolbe postures up.
Garcia is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kolbe stands and steps away. Garcia gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jose Luis Garcia dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A head kick by Kolbe misses and Garcia counters with a takedown into side control. Kolbe wants to get back to his feet but Garcia is dominant here and he's now got Kolbe's back! Kolbe wants to escape the position.
Garcia working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Garcia has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Kolbe! Can he survive? No! He's out! Garcia gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
