Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sam Keene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Kochegarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Keene!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ivan Kochegarov!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Chris Dean and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Keene gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Keene working for a triangle but Kochegarov defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Keene is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Kochegarov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Keene dives on top into guard.

Keene trying to control the position from guard on top but Kochegarov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Keene drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Keene jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Keene is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kochegarov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Keene.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Kochegarov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Well Kochegarov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
