Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between M I Callis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, M I Callis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, George St Pierre!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Callis.
No luck for St Pierre with that takedown attempt.
Callis fails with the takedown

and St Pierre counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Callis preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Still in half guard, St Pierre seems content to control.
Callis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. St Pierre is working away from the top position though.

Callis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. St Pierre gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Callis is really struggling to control St Pierre but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
St Pierre shoots and misses

and Callis counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Callis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that M I Callis will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

St Pierre is working for a guillotine from mount but Callis frees his head quite easily.
Callis sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Callis is looking for a sweep. St Pierre is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
St Pierre seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Callis tries to roll over but St Pierre keeps him under control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
St Pierre wants to stand but Callis has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

That was a close second round but I would say that M I Callis will probably get the nod.

Callis is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, St Pierre has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Callis wants to control the pace but St Pierre is squirming around nicely.
M I Callis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
St Pierre is trying to escape the mount.

George St Pierre comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
