PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fredrik Fredriksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshiry Torikama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fredriksson comes into the arena with Rob Bailey & The Hustle Standard - BEAST blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Fredrik Fredriksson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yoshiry Torikama!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torikama defending well as Fredriksson loads up on a big left hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Fredriksson. Torikama does a little dance to reset his feet.
Torikama shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fredriksson defends it nicely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Torikama.
Fredriksson was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Fredriksson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Torikama shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Fredriksson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Torikama throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fredriksson was covering up waiting for the punch and Torikama finishes the takedown easily into guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fredriksson holds on and takes a little breather.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Fredrik Fredriksson really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Sin City Allstars logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
