Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scarlet feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Scarlet throws a big elbow that misses.
Scarlet slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Scarlet has gone for a leg lock! Rosales slips out almost immediately though and dives into Scarlet's guard.

Rosales has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Scarlet is proving hard to escape from.
Rosales has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Scarlet seems keen to control Rosales's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rosales is looking to stand up but Scarlet won't let him.

Rosales decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Scarlet, up you get!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Scarlet should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Rosales is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Scarlet breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Scarlet drives through and clinches with Rosales against the cage.
Rosales is trying to maintain a safe position but Scarlet gets an underhook and turns Rosales into the cage.

Scarlet breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rosales shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Scarlet sprawls well. Scarlet wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rosales gets slowly back to his feet.
Scarlet counters with a body kick.

Rosales tries to clinch up but Scarlet circles away and keeps his distance.
Scarlet is looking for the big counter here.
Rosales misses with a takedown attempt

and Scarlet counters with a nice right hand that sends Rosales toppling to the canvas! Rosales scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Scarlet finish him?!

Rosales is rocked!

It looks like Keenan Rosales has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Scarlet darts in and clinches Rosales up against the cage.
Oh Rosales is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Scarlet jumps guard and drags Rosales to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Scarlet has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Rosales doesn't defend quickly enough and Scarlet has managed to lock this one up! Can Rosales escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Scarlet on a fantastic submission victory.
