Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Truman Vang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beau Callaghan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beau Callaghan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Truman Vang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Beau Callaghan! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Francis DeMontford and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Vang. Callaghan throws Vang to one side and escapes! Vang shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Callaghan is trying to defend but Vang finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vang tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Vang throwing shots but Callaghan is blocking nicely. Vang seems to be working for a kimura but Callaghan defends the submission attempt. Vang is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Callaghan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Vang. Vang really is a fat lump.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vang seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Callaghan tries to roll over but Vang keeps him under control. Vang working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Vang winds up and cracks Callaghan with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Vang has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Vang decides to return to a standing position. Callaghan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vang is fending him off so far but Callaghan persists. Nope, Vang circles away and we're back to standing. Callaghan looks winded! Vang shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Callaghan is trying to defend but Vang finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Callaghan pushes Vang off but Vang dives into side control.
Vang decides to take the fight back to the feet. Callaghan misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Vang counters with a three punch combo that has Callaghan backing up. Callaghan nods at Vang to acknowledge the strikes. Callaghan dives in and grabs Vang's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vang pushes down on Callaghan's head and hops out. As Callaghan looks to move away, Vang throws a big counter combo but Callaghan just gets out of the way. Vang gets a double leg takedown into Callaghan's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Callaghan working a defensive guard but Vang manages to pass into side control anyway.
Vang looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Vang scores with a couple of short elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vang looks up at the clock and then as Callaghan takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Vang smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Callaghan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Callaghan tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Vang looking to secure an arm triangle but Callaghan defends it well. Callaghan tries to hold on but Vang postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vang working the ground and pound effectively.
Callaghan is looking to improve his position but Vang isn't that keen on the idea. Vang raining down shots from the mount! Callaghan takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Truman Vang dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Callaghan gets caught flat footed, as Vang shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Vang preventing the sweep. Truman Vang overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Vang keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Callaghan's head. Callaghan tries to land a sweep but no joy. Callaghan wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Vang is now in half guard. Vang decides to stand up. Beau Callaghan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Callaghan is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vang shoots in and gets a takedown into Callaghan's guard. Callaghan looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vang lands a couple of digs. Vang wants to stand but Callaghan is controlling his posture from full guard. Callaghan wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Vang is now in half guard. Vang lands strikes from half guard. Vang is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Vang working over Callaghan with some ground and pound. Callaghan looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Vang gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vang closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Callaghan did well to prevent Vang getting side control. Callaghan pushes Vang off but Vang dives into side control.
Vang landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Callaghan is looking to reverse the position. Vang is chipping away with strikes.
Callaghan on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vang is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Callaghan is trying to escape and Vang transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Callaghan is forced to tap! Nice work there by Vang! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Truman Vang!
