Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Callum Ruttenum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruttenum has chosen DMX- X gon give it to ya as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jackson Bishop! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Callum Ruttenum! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Bishop as Ruttenum shoots in. Bishop leaves Ruttenum with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ruttenum tries to sprawl but Bishop drives through with a takedown into half guard. Bishop seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ruttenum does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Bishop looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Ruttenum has hold of Bishop's hands but Bishop slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Bishop wants to control but Ruttenum is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are battling for position here. Ruttenum manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Bishop sitting in guard here, content to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ruttenum keeping moving, preventing Bishop from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop wants to stand and escape but instead Ruttenum has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Bishop controls Ruttenum momentarily but Ruttenum frees himself. Bishop keeping moving, preventing Ruttenum from controlling successfully. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ruttenum accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bishop tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bishop has his hands on Ruttenum's head, controlling the position. Ruttenum avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ruttenum passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruttenum is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bishop sees it coming and defends easily. Ruttenum looks winded! Bishop wants to get back to full guard. Bishop is trying to control but can't.
Ruttenum missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Bishop tries to roll over but Ruttenum keeps him under control. Bishop is trying to maintain the position but Ruttenum is very close to passing his half guard. Bishop on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bishop tries to get out of the position. Ruttenum stands up and beckons Bishop to join him on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bishop tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Bishop closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ruttenum's guard. Bishop avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bishop might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ruttenum has a closed guard, preventing Bishop from standing up. Bishop showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Bishop wants to control from the top but Ruttenum keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ruttenum wants to stand but Bishop is controlling the position. Bishop trying to control but Ruttenum is working from the bottom. Bishop landing with the ground and pound. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ruttenum keeping moving, preventing Bishop from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bishop lands a couple of decent looking shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jackson Bishop will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Bishop slaps away a takedown attempt from Ruttenum, before circling back to the center of the mat. Bishop scores with a takedown into Ruttenum's guard. Bishop lands a couple of decent looking shots. Ruttenum keeping moving, preventing Bishop from controlling successfully. Jackson Bishop overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bishop is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ruttenum is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ruttenum has a closed guard, preventing Bishop from standing up. Bishop looking to sit in guard and control but Ruttenum gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruttenum decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bishop, up you get! Bishop wants to clinch. Bishop looks for the body kick but Ruttenum saw that one coming. Bishop wants to clinch. Callum Ruttenum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ruttenum misses with a takedown attempt and Bishop decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ruttenum's guard. Ruttenum is breathing heavily. Ruttenum keeping moving, preventing Bishop from controlling successfully. Bishop knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ruttenum on the ground. Bishop tries to stand but Ruttenum is controlling from the bottom.

Not yet Bishop, not yet. Bishop looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Ruttenum passes into side control.
Bishop is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bishop struggling a bit here. Bishop trying his best to control but Ruttenum has mounted him. Bishop is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Ruttenum wants to finish this one by submission but Bishop is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ruttenum. Ruttenum can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bishop is looking to escape. Bishop is trying to escape the mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ruttenum avoids the attempt from Bishop to control. Bishop keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bishop wants to hold on but Ruttenum pushes him away. Ruttenum wants to finish this one by submission but Bishop is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ruttenum. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bishop is looking to improve his position but Ruttenum isn't that keen on the idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Callum Ruttenum showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Ruttenum fails to land the takedown. Bishop scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Ruttenum tries to buck Bishop off but Bishop is having none of it. Bishop wants to control but Ruttenum is keeping him busy. Bishop stands up. Bishop looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Ruttenum! Ruttenum sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Ruttenum takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bishop has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Ruttenum works to full guard. Bishop controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ruttenum has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bishop can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ruttenum keeping moving, preventing Bishop from controlling successfully. Bishop drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bishop jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Bishop trying to control the position from guard on top but Ruttenum is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ruttenum has a closed guard, preventing Bishop from standing up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Ruttenum fails with a takedown attempt. Bishop closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ruttenum quickly recovers to half guard. Bishop is working for a kimura but Ruttenum is defending it quite comfortably.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bishop seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Bishop wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ruttenum keeps working. Bishop takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Bishop wants to control but Ruttenum is keeping him busy. Ruttenum pushes Bishop off and gets back to his feet. Bishop fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bishop has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ruttenum jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bishop walks away with a smile on his face. Ruttenum gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jackson Bishop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Callum Ruttenum. Ruttenum shoots for a double leg takedown but Bishop sprawls well. He's pushed Ruttenum's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bishop has managed to clinch.
Bishop gets control of Ruttenum's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bishop will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Bishop had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ruttenum defends it easily. Bishop wants to stand but Ruttenum is controlling the position. Bishop trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bishop has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Bishop looking for a guillotine here but Ruttenum defends easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Jackson Bishop showed his dominance in that final round. I think Bishop has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
