Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buddy Brandon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Estefan Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandon comes to the cage accompanied by All Summer Long. Sanchez has chosen Foo Fighters- My Hero as his entrance music. Estefan Sanchez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

12 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Buddy Brandon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Estefan Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez misses with a series of wild punches.
Sanchez throws a series of punches but Brandon avoids them all with ease. Brandon misses with a low kick.
Sanchez is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Sanchez pushes Brandon up against the cage in a clinch. Sanchez tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Brandon looks to throw an elbow but misses. Sanchez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sanchez fails to land with a series of punches.
Brandon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sanchez.
Sanchez misses with a double jab
and Brandon counters by moving into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brandon will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Sanchez up against the cage. A short right from Sanchez on the inside.

Brandon goes for a takedown attempt but Sanchez pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Sanchez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Brandon on the side of the head. Sanchez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A slapping body kick lands there for Brandon. Sanchez gets in close and instigates a clinch. Sanchez misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Brandon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brandon is looking to clinch. Brandon ducks under a wild hook from Sanchez. Sanchez clinches up against the cage. Sanchez tries a knee to the head but Brandon blocks it.

Brandon is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Sanchez. Sanchez slaps away a takedown attempt from Brandon, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sanchez gets caught napping as Brandon dives in and scores a takedown. Sanchez manages to retain guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brandon slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brandon wants to pass the guard but Sanchez is keeping the position. Brandon stands and throws Sanchez's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sanchez is looking to regain half guard here but Brandon keeps moving and retains side control. Sanchez has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Brandon is looking to take a break and control but Sanchez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sanchez gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Brandon landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Sanchez tries to lock up and control but Brandon gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sanchez is looking to improve his position but Brandon isn't that keen on the idea. Brandon raining down hammerfists from mount. Sanchez regains half guard. Brandon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Brandon controlling the action here. Brandon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sanchez for as long as he can get away with. Sanchez is looking for a sweep. Brandon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Brandon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sanchez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Estefan Sanchez will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Brandon gets tackled into the cage by Sanchez. Sanchez maintains the clinch. Nice elbow from Sanchez. Brandon tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sanchez just stands there and leans against the cage. Brandon manages to break the clinch.

Sanchez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brandon circles away quickly and effectively. Brandon throws a right hand that misses
and Sanchez moves into the clinch. Sanchez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Brandon tried to counter with a leg kick but Sanchez avoided it. Buddy Brandon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sanchez misses with the combination.
Sanchez ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Brandon shoots for a double leg takedown but Sanchez sprawls well. He's pushed Brandon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buddy Brandon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brandon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sanchez defends it nicely.

Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brandon paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sanchez shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Brandon eats them both and turns towards Sanchez to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Brandon dodges the punch combination from Sanchez.

Brandon wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brandon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sanchez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Sanchez lands with a nice body kick. Brandon misses with a kick to the body.
Sanchez tries to clinch but Brandon moves out of range. Sanchez stuffs the takedown attempt from Brandon. Brandon gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brandon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Estefan Sanchez seems to be getting the better of the standup. Sanchez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Brandon moves in looking to clinch but Sanchez pushes him off. Brandon misses with an uppercut. Sanchez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brandon circles away quickly and effectively. Sanchez shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Sanchez lands with a nice combination. Brandon backs away looking to recover. Sanchez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Brandon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. It looked like Brandon wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Sanchez misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brandon moves away. Estefan Sanchez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sanchez throws a nice looking combination but Brandon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Brandon seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Sanchez throws a right and a left that Brandon avoids nicely. Sanchez misses with a few strikes there.

Sanchez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Brandon shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Sanchez manages to escape and get back to his feet! Sanchez tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Brandon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A combination from Sanchez does no damage. Sanchez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Brandon counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Brandon lands on the inside with an uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sanchez with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

No luck for Brandon with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buddy Brandon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brandon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sanchez circles away. Brandon shoots in looking for a takedown but Sanchez manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brandon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Brandon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sanchez is trying to defend but Brandon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Sanchez has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Brandon is on him like a limpet, forcing Sanchez back against the cage.

Brandon tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Sanchez manages to circle out of the way. Sanchez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brandon moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Brandon fails with a takedown attempt. Sanchez is looking for the big counter here. Brandon thuds his shin into the meat of Sanchez's side. Buddy Brandon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez takes one to the chin there. Sanchez lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A head kick misses from Sanchez. Brandon darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brandon wants to pass to mount but Sanchez is defending the position. We've been hearing good reports from Brandon's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Brandon controlling the action here. Brandon missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
