Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 43 - 42 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fred Collins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 59 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Roger Schwarzeneg!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Ryoma Takatsuka and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Schwarzeneg pushes Collins up against the cage in a clinch.
Schwarzeneg prevents Collins from breaking the clinch.

Collins manages to break the clinch.

Schwarzeneg shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Schwarzeneg would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Schwarzeneg stands up over Collins, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Schwarzeneg wants to stand but Collins has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Schwarzeneg has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and Collins counters with a straight right hand.
Schwarzeneg tries to close the distance and clinch up but Collins swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Fred Collins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Collins looks to land a combination but Schwarzeneg avoids it well.
And Schwarzeneg tries to counter it with a takedown but Collins pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Collins lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Collins throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Schwarzeneg tumbling to the canvas!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Schwarzeneg avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Schwarzeneg wants to sweep but no luck.

Collins has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Schwarzeneg is proving hard to escape from.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Collins throws a big right hand that misses.
Collins loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Schwarzeneg is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Collins postures up in Schwarzeneg's guard and throws a big left but Schwarzeneg blocks it.
Schwarzeneg thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Collins working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Schwarzeneg's head.

Schwarzeneg avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Schwarzeneg utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Schwarzeneg is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Schwarzeneg has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Collins off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

That has opened up Roger Schwarzeneg's cut even more.
Schwarzeneg changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Collins tries to avoid it but Schwarzeneg manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Collins to the ground. Collins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Schwarzeneg gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Collins counters with a right hand that sends Schwarzeneg tumbling to the canvas! Can Collins finish him? He dives into Schwarzeneg's guard looking to do just that!


Schwarzeneg is rocked!

Collins chips away with some ground and pound.
Schwarzeneg is still in real trouble! Can Collins finish him?
Collins arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Schwarzeneg's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Fred Collins!
Fred Collins decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
