Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jim Beckett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pikku Nilkki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nilkki has chosen Fintelligens - Sori as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pikku Nilkki!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nilkki swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Beckett throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Nilkki wants to counter the offense by Beckett and move into the clinch position.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nilkki, as that shot connected.
Beckett waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Nilkki.
Nilkki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Beckett manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Nilkki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beckett throws a lazy right hand but Nilkki sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nilkki closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A looping hook to the body misses from Beckett. Nilkki does a little dance to reset his feet.
Beckett sets himself, and Nilkki steps forward looking for the clinch! Beckett avoids it this time.

Nilkki takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and Beckett counters with a shoot takedown. Nilkki fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Beckett postures up and lands a big shot to Nilkki's brow.
Nilkki manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Beckett manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Beckett bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nilkki's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nilkki holds on and takes a little breather.
Beckett is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Nilkki wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Beckett tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nilkki sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Beckett somewhat.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jim Beckett will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Nilkki clobbers Beckett with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Nilkki lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Beckett seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Beckett is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Beckett tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Nilkki just stands there and leans against the cage.
Beckett wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Pikku Nilkki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Nilkki has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Pikku Nilkki spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
