The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yuudai throws a poor cross that misses
and Hymen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Yuudai tries to close the distance and clinch but Hymen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hymen throws a nice looking combination but Yuudai bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Yuudai avoids the head kick by Hymen.

Yuudai closes the distance and pushes Hymen back into the cage.
Yuudai tries to pull guard but Hymen won't allow it.
Yuudai keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hymen's efforts to push away.

Yuudai jumps guard and drags Hymen to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hymen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Yuudai dives on top into guard.

A relieved looking Kenta Yuudai thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
