Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Katsu Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michio Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Katsu Yamamoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michio Suzuki! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamamoto ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Suzuki moves away. Suzuki fails to land the takedown. Suzuki lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Katsu Yamamoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Yamamoto takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Suzuki scores with a punch to the head. Suzuki lands with a nice body punch. Horrible takedown by Suzuki or perhaps it was just good defense by Yamamoto which made him look bad. Suzuki fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Suzuki closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Suzuki working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Yamamoto is trying to get back to half guard. Yamamoto manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Suzuki throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suzuki is looking to take a break and control but Yamamoto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Yamamoto blocking the ground and pound attempt from Suzuki. Yamamoto controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Yamamoto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yamamoto wants to control but Suzuki is keeping busy and won't allow it. Yamamoto is looking to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Suzuki circles away from the clinch attempt.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Suzuki.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suzuki misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Suzuki throwing strikes but Yamamoto manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Suzuki is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Suzuki is trying to work for a sweep but Yamamoto has mounted him! Yamamoto sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Suzuki is working to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Yamamoto trying to control but he's not successful this time. Suzuki is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Yamamoto content just to control the position here. Suzuki is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Suzuki is squirming around, avoiding Yamamoto's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Suzuki is looking to improve his position but Yamamoto isn't that keen on the idea. Yamamoto looking to control and managing it successfully. Suzuki manages to regain half guard. Good work. Yamamoto lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Well, if Yamamoto is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Michio Suzuki dominated that round. That's time! Yamamoto's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Suzuki lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Yamamoto throws a head kick but Suzuki moves out of range.

Suzuki is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Suzuki lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Suzuki has a takedown stuffed. Suzuki looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Suzuki scores with a jab. Yamamoto acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Yamamoto is looking to clinch but Suzuki is avoiding it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Yamamoto uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Suzuki. Nice defenses there by Yamamoto. No luck for Suzuki with that takedown attempt. Nice body punch from Yamamoto. Yamamoto throws a sloppy head kick and Suzuki moves out of range easily. Suzuki throws a looping overhand right but Yamamoto ducks down to avoid it. Yamamoto tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Suzuki shoots for a takedown but Yamamoto saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Katsu Yamamoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michio Suzuki. Suzuki is breathing heavily. Yamamoto tries to clinch there but Suzuki circles away.
Yamamoto slips under a jab from Suzuki. Suzuki shoots for a double leg takedown but Yamamoto sprawls well. He's pushed Suzuki's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Suzuki pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Yamamoto tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Yamamoto shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Suzuki but Suzuki pushes him off and we're back to square one. Yamamoto is looking to clinch but Suzuki is avoiding it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from Yamamoto misses. Suzuki avoids the head kick by Yamamoto.
Yamamoto gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Yamamoto wants to stand but Suzuki is controlling the position. Yamamoto keeping moving, preventing Suzuki from controlling successfully. Suzuki works over Yamamoto with some ground and pound from guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Suzuki preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suzuki throws a strike but Yamamoto rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Yamamoto would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Suzuki had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Yamamoto is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Suzuki Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Yamamoto's back instead. Yamamoto trying to get back to his feet but Suzuki is in full control for now. Suzuki throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Suzuki avoiding Yamamoto 's attempts to control his hands. Suzuki is looking for the choke from the back position but Yamamoto is controlling his hands well. Yamamoto might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Yamamoto looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Yamamoto prevents Suzuki from getting a body triangle. Suzuki somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Yamamoto trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Suzuki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Yamamoto turns into Suzuki and is now in his guard.
Suzuki looking for a sweep. Not yet Suzuki, not yet. Yamamoto pushing down on Suzuki's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Suzuki wants to improve his position but Yamamoto is controlling well.

A close second round but Michio Suzuki will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Yamamoto throws a series of punches but Suzuki moves out of range. Suzuki might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Suzuki scores with a three punch combo!

Yamamoto tries to clinch up. A head kick misses from Yamamoto. Suzuki tries for a takedown but Yamamoto circles away easily and Yamamoto counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Yamamoto has taken the fight to the clinch.
Suzuki pulls guard successfully.
Yamamoto is looking to stand up but Suzuki won't let him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Suzuki looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Suzuki throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamamoto stopping the sweep attempt from Suzuki. Yamamoto is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Yamamoto trying to control the position from guard on top but Suzuki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Suzuki is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Yamamoto gets to his feet - Suzuki follows without any prompting. A combination from Yamamoto does no damage. Yamamoto misses with a combination
and Suzuki counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Suzuki moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. A nice combination there by Yamamoto.
Suzuki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Yamamoto circles away. Suzuki is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Yamamoto. Yamamoto tries to clinch but Suzuki moves away and Suzuki counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Yamamoto! Yamamoto wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Suzuki.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Suzuki postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Yamamoto looks a forlorn figure.
Michio Suzuki has got the better of the ground game so far. Yamamoto really wants to buck Suzuki off and get back to his feet. Suzuki throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Yamamoto has his hands clasped together but Suzuki breaks the hold and Yamamoto is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Suzuki!
