Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Sanford Sanford!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Stanley Khan!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanford has Khan up against the cage in a clinch.
Khan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Khan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sanford smiles and moves away.

Khan takes the fight into the clinch.
Sanford trying to land knees to the body.
Khan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sanford just stands there and leans against the cage.
Sanford Sanford has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stanley Khan.
Khan is trying to pull guard but Sanford has him pressed against the cage.
A short body shot lands from Sanford as the two fighters clinch.
Sanford is pushing Khan up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanford is struggling to control the position.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Sanford for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Sanford's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Khan letting Sanford take a breather here.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Sanford Sanford.

Khan moves into the clinch successfully.
Khan tries to pull guard but Sanford won't allow it.
Sanford trying to control the position but instead, Khan has worked for underhooks and has pushed Sanford into the cage.
Khan jumps guard but Sanford stands there with Khan around his waist. Khan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sanford missing with knees to the body.
Khan tries to pull guard but Sanford forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Sanford lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Khan pulls Sanford into guard.

Khan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sanford gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sanford has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Khan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Khan is looking for a triangle but Sanford pushes his legs off easily.
Sanford chips away with some ground and pound.
Sanford will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sanford in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Khan throws his legs up looking for a submission but Sanford uses it to pass to side control.
Khan is trying to control Sanford's posture but Sanford avoids it.
Sanford really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Khan tries to improve position but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Khan wants to control but Sanford postures up.
Sanford wants to stand but Khan is controlling his arm.
Khan sneaks back into half guard.
Khan wants to get back to full guard.
Khan trying to control from the bottom.
Khan blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sanford.
Khan is looking to control Sanford's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Khan avoid being mounted?

Khan looking for submissions off his back.
Sanford drops an elbow to the side of Khan's head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Khan wants to control but Sanford passes into side.
Khan is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sanford's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Khan tries to roll over but Sanford keeps him under control.

Khan looking for submissions off his back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Khan looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sanford Sanford dominated that round.
That's time! Sanford's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Khan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Khan showed some decent athleticism there.
Khan seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Khan trying to mount his opponent but Sanford defends it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Khan is looking for a kimura but Sanford is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Khan to get the leverage.
Sanford wants to control but Khan is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sanford is trying to stand back up but Khan is controlling him
Khan trying to mount his opponent but Sanford defends it.

Khan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khan is keen to just control but Sanford is a slippery customer.
Sanford knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Khan on the ground.
Khan is just content to waste time from the top position. Sanford takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Khan tries to free his leg and advance position but Sanford is retaining full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Khan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Khan wants to pass the guard but Sanford is keeping the position.
Sanford is trying to control the position but Khan postures up.
Sanford keeping moving, preventing Khan from controlling successfully.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Khan looking to pass the guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Khan closes the distance and pushes Sanford back into the cage.

Khan jumps guard and drags Sanford to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Khan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sanford is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Khan.
Khan is looking to reverse the position.
You can see the frustration on Khan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Khan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sanford off and has taken his back!

Khan looking for the RNC.

Sanford is trying to roll into a better position but Khan has get a rear naked choke and Sanford is forced to tap out! This one is allllll over!

Stanley Khan gave a mention to Versus in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
