Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Delvin Shore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Speed told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Delvin Shore! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
43 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel Speed! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Speed's jab looks to have found its range, popping Shore under the eye. Speed dodges the punch combination from Shore.
Shore will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Speed shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shore's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shore is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Shore is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Speed sees it coming and defends easily. Shore throwing shots but Speed is blocking nicely. Shore is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Shore not landing any meaningful shots this time. Speed gets back to full guard.
Shore wants to pass the guard but Speed is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shore throwing strikes but missing. Speed preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Shore working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Shore with a flurry of punches that miss. Shore throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Speed works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Shore cracks Speed with a solid left hand.
It looks like Daniel Speed has been cut. Shore throwing strikes from guard but Speed blocks nicely. Shore throwing strikes but missing. Speed is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shore is controlling him. Speed is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shore pushes down on Speed's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Shore seems to be looking for submissions.
Shore looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Speed with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That has opened up Daniel Speed's cut even more. Shore seems to be working for a kimura but Speed defends the submission attempt. Shore throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Shore is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Shore has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Shore working over Speed with some ground and pound. Speed looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The cut above Daniel Speed's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Daniel Speed's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
