9 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Tony O Rangers! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thorn scores with the left hand. O Rangers knows he should have avoided that one. Thorn is looking to chop away at O Rangers's legs. O Rangers scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. We've been told by Thorn's head coaches at Body Pain_14elite_650$+VM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. O Rangers slips a jab from Thorn. O Rangers lunges at Thorn with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Thorn's hand. O Rangers scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. O Rangers misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Thorn.
Thorn throws a leg kick that is checked and O Rangers counters with a stiff right hand. Jab from Thorn. Thorn looks to land a right hand but O Rangers moved out of range. O Rangers with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Thorn to counter with a crisp jab. Thorn takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Thorn misses with a wild body shot. It seemed like O Rangers was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. O Rangers displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Thorn throws out the jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thorn throws a right and a left that both miss. And O Rangers tries to counter it with a takedown but Thorn pushes his down on his head and steps out. Thorn throws a series of strikes that have O Rangers backpedaling.
Thorn throws a combination but it was largely blocked by O Rangers. Thorn connects with a jab. Thorn misses with a shot to the body and O Rangers counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. O Rangers tries to pass to full mount but Thorn defends it. O Rangers keeps trying to improve his position. O Rangers has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Thorn defend it? O Rangers steps over the head and cranks it - Thorn is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for O Rangers!
