Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vladimir Nikolaev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 40 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kane Miller! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nikolaev lands a glancing blow to the side of Miller's head. Miller looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Nikolaev tries to land a front kick but Miller steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Miller closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nikolaev circles away. Nikolaev fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Miller to the ground. Nikolaev is now in Miller's guard. Nikolaev keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Miller's head. Miller is trying to control the position but Nikolaev postures up. Nikolaev advances position into side control! Miller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nikolaev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Miller on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Miller takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Nikolaev staying calm. Nikolaev working the head and body with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nikolaev connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Miller some visible discomfort.

Nikolaev landing strikes. Nikolaev controlling from side mount. Miller felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Nikolaev scoring with punches and elbows. Nikolaev landing a few strikes. Miller is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Nikolaev lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Miller takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Miller is still in real trouble! Can Nikolaev finish him? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nikolaev lands a strong strike to the head of Miller. That's dazed him! Nikolaev looking to finish here. Miller is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Nikolaev lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
