Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tompa Hero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tompa Hero has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyler Durden!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tompa Hero!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hero misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Some wild striking there from Durden.
Hero looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Durden shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Hero punching from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hero gets full guard.
Durden makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Durden trying to control the position from guard on top but Hero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Hero looking for a guillotine here but Durden defends easily.
Hero is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Durden is staying active underneath Hero, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Hero passes to full mount!
Durden stops Hero from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Hero get's back to his feet.
Durden closes the distance and clinches up with Hero, looking for a takedown. Durden pushes Hero against the cage but Hero circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Durden is breathing heavily.

Durden shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Durden prevents Hero from getting back to his feet.
Hero punching from the bottom - just letting Durden know he's still in a fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hero is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hero pulls Durden in close to prevent any damage.
Hero is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.
Durden would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hero swats away the attempt to clinch by Durden.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hero bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Durden gets back to half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hero lands a nice short elbow.
Hero takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Durden moves into full guard.

Durden pushes Hero off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Durden misses with a wild combination.
Hero misses with a takedown attempt - Durden sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tyler Durden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tompa Hero.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hero wants to clinch up but Durden keeps it at a distance.
Durden scores with a three punch combo!
Hero is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Some wild striking there from Durden.
Hero tries to close the distance and clinch but Durden swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hero tries to close the distance and clinch up but Durden swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hero changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Durden tries to avoid it but Hero manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Durden to the ground. Durden escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hero looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hero slips a jab and a cross from Durden.
Tyler Durden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Durden finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tyler Durden will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Hero shoots and misses
and Durden counters with an outside leg kick.
Durden throws a combination. Hero tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Tompa Hero has been cut.
Hero shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Durden but Durden pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Durden connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Hero scores with a takedown into Durden's guard.
Durden wants to get back to his feet but Hero is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Hero slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Durden is on top in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hero managing to control the position.

Hero looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Durden has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hero lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Durden!
Durden tries to reverse the position but Hero maintains control.
Hero manages to capitalize on a mistake by Durden to take his back!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hero connects with a big shot to the side of Durden's head.
Durden trying to control the action but Hero just sinks the hooks in.
Hero lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

Hero has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Durden is in real trouble here. Hero gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Durden is tapping out! Hero wins by rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tompa Hero!
