The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Batur closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Reed drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Batur gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Toney Reed has been cut.
Batur misses with an elbow strike.
Batur throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Batur on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Reed pulls Batur into guard.

Reed is working an open guard so Batur takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Reed fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Batur, pushing him back against the cage.
Reed is trying to pull guard but Batur turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Reed is trying to drag Batur to the mat but Batur just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Toney Reed. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Batur lands a damaging elbow.
Reed tries to pull guard but Batur holds him up against the cage and eventually Reed drops back down to his feet.
Batur lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
